Community Involvement
Community involvement is a core value of Panhellenic. We are committed to actively engaging with and supporting the State College community through a variety of initiatives. Whether it’s hosting community events, organizing Panhellenic days of service, or collaborating with other organizations, we are always working to make a meaningful difference. Additionally, we collaborate with each chapter to enhance service opportunities and maximize our collective impact. This commitment is reflected in our efforts to host events that bring together local residents, organize Panhellenic Days of Service to support local charities, and lead community outreach initiatives like food drives. We also foster strong bonds through cross-council partnerships with MGC, NPHC, and IFC, uniting our Greek community to create meaningful ways to give back and serve the community at a larger scale. Through these efforts, we strive to build lasting connections while making a difference in the lives of those around us.
Homecoming
Each year, the Panhellenic community participates in Homecoming with excitement and pride, partnering with chapters from different councils at Penn State to compete for the Homecoming title. As part of the tradition, our chapters work together to design and create a unique float that reflects our school spirit and creativity. The float is then featured in the Homecoming Parade, where we walk alongside other participants to celebrate the vibrant Penn State community. This friendly competition fosters collaboration, strengthens bonds between different organizations, and makes Homecoming an unforgettable experience for all involved!

Greek Sing
Greek Sing is an annual dance competition where fraternities and sororities showcase their talents through choreographed musical performances. Greek Sing is a beloved tradition within the Greek community, fostering cross-council collaboration in a creative and engaging way while also supporting meaningful charitable causes. The winning team receives a donation to the philanthropy of their choice and earns the honor of performing their winning number at THON, one of Penn State’s most significant philanthropic events. This highly anticipated event is typically held in early November, drawing students and community members together for an unforgettable experience.
Greek or Treat
Greek or Treat is an annual event that brings together local families for a fun and festive trick-or-treating experience along fraternity row. Held in late October just before Halloween, the event allows children to visit tables hosted by fraternities and sororities, where they can collect treats, show off their costumes, and enjoy the spirit of the season. This event is a favorite among both Panhellenic and the State College community, offering a unique opportunity for families and students to connect in an engaging environment. Greek or Treat not only creates a memorable experience for children, but it also provides students with a meaningful chance to actively engage with the surrounding community in a fun and hands-on way.

Greek Week
Greek Week is a highlight of the year when all four Greek councils come together to foster unity, encourage cross-council collaboration, and celebrate with fun, Greek-related activities. Panhellenic plays a key role in organizing some of the most exciting events during Greek Week, including the Spring Carnival, Greek Gala, and more! The Spring Carnival is a fan favorite, featuring inflatables, ice cream, caricature artists, a popcorn machine, and philanthropy tables, all set up on the HUB Lawn. It's a great opportunity for members of the Greek community to enjoy these fun activities while connecting with students from all councils. This event has become one of our most anticipated spring traditions! In addition to Spring Carnival, Panhellenic also supports the IFC in organizing the basketball tournament on fraternity row, another exciting event during Greek Week. Recently, we’ve added the Greek Gala to the week’s festivities—an evening filled with celebration, making Greek Week even more memorable. Greek Week is all about building bonds across councils and enjoying the vibrant spirit of Greek life, and it’s one of our favorite times of the year!

Panhellenic Days of Service: Panhellenic Days of Service provide meaningful opportunities for our members to give back and make a positive impact on the community. These events are designed to support local non-profit organizations, such as A Soldier’s Hands, with whom we have a close partnership. We organize activities like card-making and decorating events for soldiers, as well as packaging goodie bags to send to those serving our country. Our Days of Service are truly special to us, and we take great pride in the difference we make through these events. They not only allow us to give back but also strengthen the bond among our members as we work together to support important causes.
Spring Egg Hunt: The Spring Egg Hunt is an annual event held just before Easter, offering a fun and festive egg hunt for local community members and their families right on campus. The event features the Easter Bunny, a snack table, and exciting prizes for all to enjoy. With its high turnout and community spirit, the Spring Egg Hunt has become a beloved tradition, especially within the Panhellenic community. It’s a wonderful way to bring people together!
